Page 9—For "extraordinary clever man," read, "extraordinarily clever man."

Page 10—For "the power is now lost to your church," read, "comparatively lost."

Page 12—For "out do Barnum, Barnum himself," read, "out-Barnum-Barmum-[himself."

Page 14—For "as literally rendered by a translator" read, "liberally rendered."

From inadvertence on my part in revising, several errors in the punctuation &c. have crept in, which however, truthseekers for the sake of truth itself will overlook.
