There is no conviction which I am more deeply impressed with, than with the necessity for the political representation of women to secure their equal treatment by the legislature, and the page 2 abrogation of the monstrous laws affecting their property and industry 1 greatly lament the loss of an opportunity of stating publicly some of the grounds on which that conviction rests.
