Arts Festival Needs You

Arrangements are already well under way for the University Arts Festival, which is to be held at Victoria in the first week of the August Vacation (i.e. Saturday 11th to Friday 20th August).

It will form part of the Annual Winter Tournament. Representatives and contestants from all New Zealand universities will be attending.

The tentative programme drawn up by the controller, John Pettigrew, includes debating, chess, several full length plays, a film festival, fine arts competition, Contemporary Arts concert, Music Society concerts, a photography exhibition, jam session, and mock trials.

Assistance is required in raising funds for the festival, and preparing publicity. Anyone who can help should contact the Publicity Controller, David Shand, c/-Students' Association office or telephone 85-837.
