Salient. An Organ of Student Opinion at Victoria College, Wellington, N.Z. Executive Election Special Issue. Wednesday, June 22nd, 1949

Paul Cotton

Paul Cotton

Paul Cotton is a second-year Arts student. He is Secretary of the Charter Society and member of the Rowing, Hockey and Tramping, as well as the Debating and Policital Science Societies, and the Drama Club. At 1949 Easter Tournament he was a member of the Publicity Committee and Secretary to the NZU Blues Panel. He has taken part in Processions and Extravs in 1948-49.

He considers the new Student Union Building and Caféteria Reform are urgent matters and thinks the Executive should fight for improved conditions in Weir House as soon as possible. Paul would like to see more adequate training facilities for sports clubs and feels that an investigation into this possibility should be instituted immediately. When politics appear in Executive affairs Paul would like to see open discussions actively attended by all shades of political opinion in the University.
