Salient. An Organ of Student Opinion at Victoria College, Wellington, N.Z. Executive Election Special Issue. Tuesday 13th April [1948]

Denzil Brown

Denzil Brown

Denzil Brown is a full-time Philosophy Honours student, President SCM 1946-47, on World Student Relief Committee since 1945, resident Weir House 1944-47, member Literary Society, interested in hockey and is Procession Controller this year.

He would like to see: VUC made aware of its responsibilities to the community, and the community of its to VUC; a strong student life developed through active clubs, faculty committees: a Students' Union Building and Students Hostels: staff-student relationships more genuine than a purely formal academic relationship.

He considers student board one of the major problems of the College and would like to see it tackled through student hostels, recognized digs and stirring the community to its responsibility.

He conceives the functions of the Executive to run student affairs in the interests of the College as a whole.
