Next Week is Bursaries Week

For all those students who are fascinated by, or interested in Bursaries, VUWSA proudly presents Bursaries Week.....

Monday 17 April Bursaries supplement appears in Salient
9.00—12.00 Leafletting
12.00 "Poverty Auction"—Outside the Library an auction will be held of lost property and donated goods. Proceeds from these sales will be put towards a fund for emergency hardship cases. So, if you have any old clothes, or furniture that you want to donate, just bring them into the office or bring them along to the auction. All donations will be gratefully accepted. If wet, the auction will be held in the Union Hall or Cafe.
2.00 Working Bee for demonstration.
Outside Library
Come and give a hand.
Tuesday 28 April
8.30—5.30 Leafletting and stall downtown in Cuba Mall. Public Relations Day. Hostel students put the case for a review of Bursary allowances to the Wellington Public. Leafletting all day at University. Willing helpers will be greeted with open arms.
Wednesday 19 April
9.00—12.00 Continuation of bombardment of leaflets to unsuspecting students and public.
All Day Collect Your Bursary Payment From LB1 & LB2 Foyer
12.00—2.00 SRC Policy discussions on Bursaries
8.30 p.m.—12.00 p.m. Poverty Hop—A Hop will be held with minimal entry fee; proceeds will be donated to Emergency Harship fund.
Thursday 20 April 12.0 Forum—Speakers will include Bruce Beetham (Social 12.00—2.00 Credit), The Minister of Education, Mr. Gandar (or a representative if he's running scared) Mr. Marshall (Labour)
7.30 Lounge Women's Liberation Club meeting on Women and Mental Health And should women get a differential rate for Bursaries.
Friday 21 April
6.45—9.00 a.m. Leafletting Railway Station
12.00—2.00 Leafletting for demonstration
12.00—1.00 "Should students get bursaries?" Speakers from Labour and National Party Clubs. Organised by Students Against Imperialism. Smoking Room
