Dear David,

I would like to reply to the few individuals who get so upset about my last letter. Maybe I have stepped right onto the tails of the MSSA cunning fox who have been carrying smearing campaign to date.

First of all to the ones who are waiting for my apology, apologise my foot! If you guys think I have stepped painfully on your tails, too bad, so next time don't stick your tails out for me or others to step on. In actual fact, my letter is not meant for you stupid fools who keep on writing those non-sensible smearing letters. Moreover, under no circumstances should I apologise if what I think was fair and unbias, otherwise it would be like MSSA, puppets and "Yes" men of organisations and people they lean upon.

If anyone wants facts about my previous letter, here it goes. Last year MSSA was divided by a few individuals under the direct backing and support of VUWSA President Gyles Beckford, who I believed drafted a Press Statement to start off, about the issue on marriage of convenience in the name of the new MSSA. (Please confirm yourself with the few individuals who most of them have later resigned). Nevertheless the statement did not appear in any of the newspapers!! Just by look at the statement circulated around the Library, one can tell the special typewriter and type setting has been used, obviously from the Salient office. The then MSSA committee thought that they had done a great job, but they did not realise that the statement also included an attack on NZ government policy on Rhodesia or South Africa apartheid. What a joke! They did not even know they are being made use of to propogate other people's campaign. (If you have not got a copy, go and ask them for one, I still have mine, unluckily! )

Another evidence would be the newsletter No 2 of MSSA. another now Ad hoc committee was formed only after four months. (This proves my point of people coming in and out whenever they like without indue responsibility of what they have done because they would not be accounted for). In this newsletter the full program of International Students Congress was published, giving its members an impression that MSSA is the major organiser. However, look at the programme and the guest speakers on topics such as "nuclear Free Zone in the South Pacific" and the film on "this is no crisis" on South Africa? I thought MSSA Committee would at least conduct or Chair a discussion on any of the topics laid down in the programme, but what I gathered from those few who attended, MSSA Committee is in action alright, but only distributing blank paper before the forum started, distributing foods in the kitchen and of course putting up dances. In my opinion, if MSSA do not lend its name to ISC, then VUWSA and NZUSA would might as well close the ISC since WMSA has decided to withdraw. Even then, there were hardly any Wellingtonians attended. (Please confirm yourself with Lindy Cassidy on the register number and names) despite the bullshitting by the Salient of more than 200. Ha! Ha!

In the same newsletter it mentioned about work restriction which was already stated by NZUSA International Vice-President who made the research. MSSA was only the mouth piece to spread the news. On the section on Library cutback, the reference was made to VUWSA president Lindy Cassidy, again MSSA is just a tool to be used.

All these are analysis from very plain facts, facts that are issue by MSSA Committee itself, what other proof do you want? If you guys do not even know how to read between the lines, you don't deserve to attack others by using the smearing letter. I hope this letter will be my final one because I want to give you a chance to realise your mistakes of attacking others and try to woo support by this cunning way.

As I said before, it is good to have many organisations serving the same interests, but to use dirty tricks to win the game is just no what I can stand.

Yours sincerely

Alex Chen.

PS. If anyone wants further analysis, by all means let me know.
