A Grant of $100 has been made to the Debating Society to assist in financing We N.Z.U. debating team to Australia.

The cost of the tour is apportioned as to hall on a pro rata basis between participant universities and the other half on the basis of the number of members the particular University has in the team.

As two out of the three members come from Victoria, they must provide $250.

A sub-committee has also been set up to consider the policy of the association on financing overseas tours of N.Z.U. representative teams.

The BudgetS for the Graduation and Capping Balls were approved.

The profit for the Graduation Ball was $805.75 and for the Capping Ball $231.

The cost of Procesh was $580.

The 1969 estimates for the V.U.W.S.A. budget were presented.

The minutes record that it was the feeling of Executive that the budget should be gone through item by item.

It was moved (Helen MeGrath and Caroline McGrath) that the grant to Cultural Clubs be amended to $3300.

They were the only two to vole for the motion.

It was then moved (Tait/Cullen) that the budget be approved.

A Cultural Affairs Committee has been delegated the task previously allotted to the Finance Committee of making grants to the Cultural Clubs.

The secretary of the association, Margaret Bryson, is to be paid 80c an hour for her services as a counter assistant during Capping Week.

It Was moved by the chair that $40 be allocated to pay for the competitors' drinks in the Drinking Horn.

John Lenart has been appointed the fourth student representative on the Joint Committee.
