Salient: Victoria University Students' Paper. Vol. 28, No. 3. 1965.
The Wellington Trustee Savings Bank has expressed interest in establishing a branch in the Student Union. Social Controller Andrew Cornwall told Executive that the bank wished to investigate what business the agency was likely to get.
Nick Bullock commented that investigations he had made suggested that there was an excellent chance of getting a branch post office at the University. This would provide more facilities, although it would also take up more space.
It was pointed out by an executive member that allocation of Union space was done by Management Committee. However, Executive was satisfied that the field of Management Committee would not be affected by an investigation of the agency's feasibility. They resolved that the bank be asked to investigate the opening of an agency in the Student Union.
