"I Will replace Lew Pryme for a fee of £5 plus taxi fare plus one bottle of peroxide," Capping Controller Denis Paxie told Executive. A discussion on the budget for Commencement Ball was in progress, and some members of Executive were unhappy with the budget's size. One member doubted the budget's accuracy, pointing out that a previous budget which had appeared to show a "colossal profit" did so only because it made no provision for supper. The budget was finally passed without Paxle's offer being accepted.
