Miss Irene Wood, attractive blonde second-year Arts student gained third place in the beauty contest held at Levin's A. & P. show.

Miss Wood, who was working in Horowhenua during the holidays, was entered without her knowledge by friends, and was apparently a little dismayed when she discovered that she had to parade in a bathing suit. A large green satin ribbon was her only prize.
