The Hebrew University in Jerusalem bestowed academic degrees upon its largest number of candidates since the founding of the university: 707 degrees were given at the end of the study year which ended this past summer. Among the recipients were 193 women students. In the previous year 617 candidates attained degrees. Among the students receiving degrees this year were four Arabian students who received the Bachelor of Arts. The Hebrew University in Jerusalam has been conferring academic degrees since its foundation in 1952.
