Festival Blues

A letter came from Otago University, who claim they will be having an Arts Festival this coming August. This is one in the eye for Victoria, who originally mootted the Arts Festival and backed down when faced with the job of staging it.

The letter asks for support to the Festival from the local Executive, particularly by encouraging groups to be sent down from the cultural clubs. Naturally enough Exec decided to pass a circular letter to the clubs concerned and as for their plans. Since no club will be quite sure what Otago want and no man understands what Exec wants, it will boil down to a question of how many and which people to send, and if so, whether Exec is prepared to support fare concessions.
