First publication by Press Council

On sale in conjunction with this issue of Salient is the first publication of the recently-formed New Zealand University Student Mess Council. It is a report on the annual meeting of NZUSA in Wellington at Easter.

The Press Council, formerly known as the N.Z. University Student Newspaper Association, was reconstituted and affiliated to NZUSA at Easter. Its aims include the production of a number of special publications such as this NZUSA supplement each year.
