Extrav Extra

Extrav. was launched on its erratic annual career with a casting meeting on March 21st. The organiser, Ted Woodfield and the producers Bill Sheat and Ian Rich, have a good Script by Frank Curtin (a Hawke's Bay lawyer who has been connected spasmodically with Extrav. since 1948) and are busy gathering personnel. The show is booked for three nights in Wellington and two in the Hutt Valley and for Queen's Birthday weekend at Napier. Those interested in taking part as members of the chorus, or male ballet or backstage should come to the casting meeting and rehearsals or get in touch with the stage manager H. Williamson or wardrobe mistress Noeline Johnstone. "Salient" expects that success both artistic and financial will attend the efforts of all concerned.
