One hundred and forty-four students from the Mapua Institute of Technology in answer to the Government's coil for popular and active support of its rural improvemnt campaign volunteered for rat extermination activities in Cotabato, Mindanao Island. The student group was transported to the area by Philippine Navy LST's and attached to the Army special units advanced to eradicate the rats.—(C.C.S. Press Release, Manila.)

In order to find out his meaning you must also know what the question was (a question in his own mind, and presumed by him to be in yours) to which the thing he has said or written was meant as an answer.
