Leaves in Moonlight
Leaves in Moonlight
Moon-wrought leaves of beauty strange
Etched with dark charm upon vast depths of black,
The green washed silver trees
In coldly-shadowed light . . .
Hidden water darkly falling,
Far lights upon a clouded hill. . .
A diamond moon wide-zoned with platinum
And stars among wide boughs
Flat on a moon-grey sky
An autumn, frosty sky
With winking stars . . .
A magic wood-cut dark and still.
