No. 372 (1908).—Petition of Arapata Renata and 17 Others, of Mangamaunu.

Petitioners pray that the Mangamunu Native Reserve be not taken for scenic purposes under the Scenery-preservation Act.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the favourable consideration of the Government, with a view to carrying out the wishes of the petitioners.

E inoi ana kia kaua a Mangamaunu Rahui Maori e tangohia mo nga tikanga purotu i raro i te Ture Tiaki i nga Whenua Purotu.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ripoata, e penei ana te kupu tohutohu a te Komiti, me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria paitia i runga i te whakaaro kia whakaritea nga hiahia o nga kai-pitihana.
