No. 253.—Petition of Hohepa Horia and 39 Others.
Petitioners pray that the rivers in the neighbourhood of Kaiapoi, Canterbury, may be exempted from the restrictions as to taking whitebait with set nets.
I am directed to report that, as the Committee is advised the Government is issuing regulations dealing with this question, it has no recommendation to make.
