No. 247, 1898.—Petition of Rewi Toheriri and 13 Others.

Petitioners pray that inquiry may be made as to the rightful successors of Te Hapa and Nikorima Tohetiti, who were non-sellers in the Whangawehi No. 2 Block, Te Mahia District, Hawke's Bay.

I am directed to report that the Committee has no recommendation to make with regard to this petition.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia whakawakia kia kitea ai ko wai ma na kai-riiwhi tika o Te Hapa me Nikorima Tohetiti kaore nei raua i hoko i o raua hea i Whangawehi No. 2 Poraka, Takiwa o Te Mahia, Haaki Pei.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, kaore kau a te Komiti kupu mo runga i tenei pitihana.
