No. 111.—Petition of Ngatete Karaka te Aho and three Others (No. 1).
Petitioners allege that they handed over a block of their land, called Purapura, to be sold to cover the cost of survey of the Opuatia Block, on the understanding that they were to receive extra interests in Opuatia to cover the loss of the first-mentioned block; this agreement never having been complied with, they pray for inquiry and redress.
I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government for favourable consideration.
