Reports of the Native Affairs Committee, 1898.

[No. 100—Petition of Mereana Peka and 4 Others.]

No. 100—Petition of Mereana Peka and 4 Others.

Petitioners complain that the trustees in the Maungatapu Block, near Morrinsville, are treating the land as though it was absolutely their own property, and pray that the title may be so amended as to include all the rightful owners.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommends this petition be referred to the Government for consideration.

[Translation.]
No. 100.—Pitihana a Mereana Peka mo etahi atu tokowha.
