No. 866, 1897.—Petition of Mehaka Tokopounamu and Another.
Petitioners pray for inquiry into the ownership of the Ruatoki Block, Whakatane district, in order that certain persons, wrongfully left out, may be put into the title.
I am directed to report that the Committee recommends that this petition be referred to the Government for consideration.

E inoi ana nga kai-pitihana kia uiuia nga take paanga ki Ruatoki Poraka, i te takiwa o Whakatane, kia whakaurua ai ki te tiwhikete etahi tangata i panaia hetia i taua poraka.
Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei, ki te whakaaro o te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria.
