No. 486, 1895.—Petition of Kapua Maihi and Five Others.
Petitioners allege that there is a balance of purchase-money due on Te Kauri (Waitaia Block) Mercury Bay District; and they pray that the same may be handed over to them.
I have the honour to report that the Committee is of opinion that this petition should be referred to the Government for inquiry.

E ki ana nga kai-pitihana kaore ano i whakaputaina te toenga o nga moni o te hoko o Te Kauri (Waitaia Poraka), Takiwa o Whitianga, a e inoi ana kia hoatu aua moni ki a ratou.
E whai honore ana ahau ki te ripoata, ki te whakaaro a tenei Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia uiuia.
