No. 57, 1894.—Petition of Paki Wi Hongi.

Petitioner alleges that one Aitken, of Auckland, has wrongful possession of his share in Nukutawhiti Block, and prays for restitution or other relief.

I am directed to report that the Committee recommend that this petition be referred to the Government for consideration.

E ki ana te kai-pitihana kua riro he i tetahi tangata o Akarana, ko Aitken te ingoa, tona hea i Nukutawhiti Poraka, a e inoi ana kia whakahokia atu tona whenua ki a ia, kia hoatu ranei tetahi atu ora mona.

Kua whakahaua ahau kia ki penei ki te whakaaro a te Komiti me tuku atu tenei pitihana ki te Kawanatanga kia whiriwhiria.
