Petitioners pray that the sum of £500 may be paid to them as, agreed upon by the Commissioner, as compensation for services rendered during the late rebellion.
I am directed to report as follows: That, in the face of the report of Major Porter, who was appointed Commissioner to make inquiries, and also Sir Donald McLean's memorandum of 19th April, 1875, the Committee has no recommendation to make.
