No. 248.—Petition of Enereta Te Rangiotu.

Petitioner alleges that Mr. Alexander McDonald, who was at one time their protector and guide, has now deprived them of a large portion of their land at Awahuri, which he has for himself. They say he has also £5,000 of their money from their sale of Kawakawa. They pray for an inquiry.
