Report of the Native Affairs Committee, 1883.

No. 525.—Petition of George Kennedy

No. 525.—Petition of George Kennedy.

Petitioner claims compensation (£242) for having been induced, in 1877, by Mr. Kemp, Native Commissioner, to take charge of a flour-mill owned by Natives, because the engagement had not been carried out by the owners.

I am directed to report as follows:—

That this petition has been presented too late in the session for the Committee to take evidence on the claim.

3rd September, 1883.
