Mr Lord,—
Correspondence on the subject of the Kaiapoi Native school having been called for in the Legislative Council, and your Lordship's letter, applying for £200 to build a school at Kaiapoi, of 25th October, 1861, having been mislaid in the removal of the Native department from Auckland, I shall be much obliged to your Lordship if you will be so good as supply a copy of the above letter, and any other letters which may have been written by you on the same subject, in order that they may be laid on the table of the Legislative Council, with the rest of the correspondence.
I have, &c.,
W. Rolleston,
Under Secretary.
His Lordship the Bishop of Christchurch.
