Mr H. Gamble, electrotyper and stereotyper, Wellington, has sent us priced specimens of about a hundred-and-fifty electrotypes, of which he supplies duplicates. They are principally familiar English and American ornaments.
Messrs Wimble & Co., Melbourne and Sydney, send us a price-list of electrotypes and new and second-hand machinery in stock.
From Messrs F. H. Levey & Co., New York, we have a large quarto specimen-book of fine woodcut inks in the new « art shades » now in vogue. Twelve beautiful shades are shewn, the prices varying from $1 to $3.
Messrs G. Waterston & Co. 9 Rose-st, Newgate-st., London, send us a catalogue of sealing-wax, quill pens, inkstands, stationery cabinets, copying presses, &c. The name of this well-known firm is a guarantee of excellence.
Mr Benjamin Wise, typefounders' engineer, London, sends us a circular relating to his type-casting machines and typefounders' tools in general. We fear that New Zealand printers would not find the experiment of casting their own type very profitable.—Mr. Wise also supplies lead- and clump-moulds, stereotyping apparatus, &c.
