General Horatio Gordon Robley

Robley served throughout the Maori wars and made many sketches of New Zealand and Maori life for English illustrated papers. After extensive militarypage 63experience in New Zealand and elsewhere he retired with the rank of major-general in 1887 and lived in London until his death in 1930.
