An Appreciation

An Appreciation

From the Wheat Purchase Board, Christchurch, to the General Manager of Railways, Wellington:—

Recently this Board shipped a large quantity of wheat overseas and, in order to save storage and handling charges, it was necessary to ship as much as possible direct from farmers' sidings to the ship. The position was further complicated by the fact that two ships taking complete cargoes were loading at one and the same time, one being at Lyttelton and the other at Timaru. Very careful organisation was necessary in order to carry out the undertaking, and the Board appreciates the assistance rendered by your officers in Christchurch and Timaru.
