Cake, Quick.
Ingredients:

2 eggs.

1 1/2 cups brown sugar.

1/2 cup milk.

1 3/4 cups flour.

1/3 cup butter.

3 teaspoons baking powder.

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg.

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.

1/2 pound dates.

Directions for mixing:-Cream sugar and butter, then add the well beaten eggs and mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together and then add the milk alternately. Chop dates, roll in flour and add them to the mixture. Beat hard for three minutes, pour into buttered cake tin and bake thirty-five minutes in a moderate oven.
