Experiment 12
[untitled poem by Margaret Mason]
The leach of conscience
clinging in a fervour
tormenting the mind with its evisceration of logic
Bears brine upon the ocean of grief
filling cavities of the soul
with meaningless, unwarranted curbs.
Conscience; the moral colour of a mind
belaboured in action by a growth
ingrown by the voice of our environment
The abstract state no longer inchoate
passing images are
coloured by a purple mind.
