The Rev. William Charles Wood
The Rev. William Charles Wood , Vicar of Winton, was born in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 1869. Mr Wood was ordained deacon in 1894, and priest in 1898. He was appointed to the charge of Ross, Westland, in 1894, and remained there till 1901, when he became vicar of Winton. Mr Wood was married, in 1894, to a daughter of Mr William Hawke, of Geraldine, Canterbury, and has one son and three daughters.
