The Waicola Sawmill

The Waicola Sawmill (Harrington Brothers, proprietors; A. P. Harrington and E. Harrington), Waicola. This mill, which is about three miles from the Waicola railway siding, has a complete plant, comprising a sixteen horse-power engine, two benches, a planing machine, box-cutting plant, and a six horse-power hauling engine. The timber is conveyed to the railway along a [gap — reason: illegible], horses being employed for traction. Including the partners, eighteen persons are employed at the mill, and the monthly output is about 125,000 feet of timber. Cutting rights are held over 800 acres of good bush country.
