Wendon Valley is the name given to a farming settlement, which is about three miles from the township of Waikaka. It is part of the electoral district of Wakatipu, and is in the Mataura riding of the county of Southland. There is a local post office, which is under the supervision of the postmistress of Waikaka. The Wendon Valley public school has an average attendance of twenty-three.
