The local office of this well known company is in a portion of the Bank of New Zealand building, on the page 530 ground floor. The branch was established about 1875, up to which the business of the company in Oamaru had been worked by means of an agency. Now the district controlled by the local branch extends to the Waitaki river on the north, and to Hampden on the south. Mr. H. M. Roxby is the company's resident representative.
