Public School West Eyreton. This school was established about 1872. There are four acres of land attached to the premises. The building, which is of wood and iron, contains two class rooms and a porch. There are two good playgrounds, and a comfortable schoolhouse of eight rooms. The school has accommodation for seventy children, there are fifty-five names on the roll and the average attendance is forty-five. The headmaster is assisted by an assistant mistress.
