Mr. George Dickinson

Mr. George Dickinson is one of the band of old colonists who arrived in Lyttelton by the ship “Labuan” in 1851. Born in Sheffield, England, in 1827, and brought up to farming pursuits, he was engaged for many years as a dairy farmer, and retired in 1888 to “Spring Villa,” Crescent Road, St. Albans, a property he had purchased in London before coming to the Colony. He was for many years a member of the St. Albans Borough Council.
