Mr. R. C. Kinvig, who, as a Partner, has also contributed to the success of the firm, is a native of Ballarat, Victoria. He gained his first commercial experience in the wellknown firm of Messrs Butterworth Bros., in New Zealand. Mr. Kinvig left Messrs Butterworth to take the position of travelling representative for Messrs Edwards, Bennett and Co., and retired when that firm discontinued its operations in New Zealand. For five years subsequently he was salesman for the Kaiapoi Woollen Co., and he joined his present partner in 1899.
