Miss Eleanor Smith
Miss Eleanor Smith, Organist at St. Albans Wesleyan Church, was born in Christchurch, was educated at various schools, and studied music under her brother, Mr. McLeod Smith, and Mr. Landergan. At Canterbury College, she gained a certificate for theory, and commenced her career as a teacher of music in 1883. She is elsewhere referred to as a teacher of music.
