De Boutillier, E.

De Boutillier, E., Farmer, Waikaraka, Whangarei. Mr. Le Boutillier's property lies six miles from Whangarei, on the road to Parua Bay and Whangarei Heads, and consists of about 300 acres of superior undulating country. He possesses a very neat and compact dairy. In addition to this Mr. Le Boutillier is devoted to fruit culture, in which he has been engaged since he settled at Whangarei. His orchard comprises four acres of land, and he has the reputation of growing the best pears the north can produce. The fertility of Mr. Le Boutillier's trees is specially noteworthy, and the whole of his property is well watered with a never failing stream. Mr. Le Boutillier was born in Jersey in the year 1853, and followed farming on his father's property till 1877, when he made up his mind to come to New Zealand. He landed at Auckland and made his way to Whangarei, where he settled in his present home. Mr. Le Boutillier takes great interest in public affairs. He is married to a daughter of the late Mr. Edward Mattby, formerly of H.M. Customs, Ceylon, India.
