Bispham, Mrs. C.

Bispham, Mrs. C., Teacher of Singing and Pianoforte, Kamo Road, Whangarei. Although Mrs. Bispham commenced her profession in Whangarei as recently as February, 1896, she has been most successful in establishing herself as an instructor; recognising that the musical talent of Whangarei was above par, she devoted her energies to working up a valuable connection. Mrs. Bispham was born of English parentage and was a pupil for many years of Sir Julius Benedict. She afterwards followed her profession for some years in the West Indies, and came out to New Zealand in 1880, where she further pursued her studies under Mr. Gordon Gooch and Madame Walpole, of Parnell. She was subsequently at Otahuhu, Coromandel, and the Waikato, teaching successfully at each place.
