Morris, Georage Charles Waudby

Morris, Georage Charles Waudby, Legal Manager and Mining Agent, Queen Street, Auckland. Mr. Morris is the eldest son of Captain the Hon. G. B. Morris, M.L.C., and was born in Gosport, Hampshire, England, in 1869. Coming to New Zealand with his parents in 1871, he was educated at Tauranga, Bay of Plenty. On completing his education, he went into the Government Telegraphs Department, remaining in the employ of the department for some months. Towards the close of 1885 Mr. Morris received an appointment in the Bank of New Zealand; this he held till September, 1895, when he resigned and started in business as a legal manager and mining agent. Although a comparatively young man, he has met with considerable success in his business, at the present time being legal manager for a number of companies. In athletics, Mr. Morris takes a keeu and active interest. He is married to a daughter of Mr. Robert Hornidge-Gledstanes, of Ireland, and has one daughter. Mr. Morris' private residence is situated in St. Stephen's Avenue, Parnell.
