Mr. Charles Allan

Mr. Charles Allan is a native of Warwickshire, England, and accompanied his parents to New Zealand when he was a boy. He served his apprenticeship with Mr. H. H. Smith, then a well-known range manufacturer, but since retired from business. On completing his apprenticeship Mr. Allan entered the service of Mr. Broady, who had then been established about six months. In recognition of Mr. Allan's merit and abilit, Mr. Broady took him as partner in 1892, and his services have been of the most material advantage to the firm. Mr. Allan has taken a great interest in outdoor sports, and was for a number of years a member of the Auckland Athletic Club. He is also a prominent member of the Oddfellows, and Past Grand Master of the Good Intent Lodge, Manchester Unity.
