Woodward, Alice

Woodward, Alice, M.B., B.Ch., Auckland. Miss Woodward is the third of her sex in New Zealand to qualify for the medical profession. She was born at East Tamaki, Auckland, and is the eldest daughter of the late Mr. William Woodward, M.A. (Cantab.), who taught his daughter at home. Miss Woodward matriculated in 1894, and then entered the Otago University, Dunedin, where she studied for the degree of M.B. and surgery, and qualified in February, 1900. She then returned to Auckland, and commenced the practice of her profession.
