Father William Henry Corcoran

Father William Henry Corcoran, Undergraduate of the Royal University of Ireland, and Curate of St. Patrick's Cathedral, Auckland, was born in 1865, at Ballinasloe, County Galway, Ireland. He received his early education at St. Michael's, Ballinasloe, and completed his secular studies at Blackrock College, Dublin, and the Royal University. His ecclesiastical studies were pursued at Paris. After his ordination he spent four years in the ministry at Dublin, and came to Auckland, via the Cape, from Ireland. Father Corcoran, since his arrival in Auckland, has become very popular amongst his parishioners, and is considered a preacher of noticeable power and eloquence.
