page 123. Some changes have taken place since the original articles on the brigade were printed. In September, 1901, the City Council appointed Mr. Charles Alexander Woolley, about thirty-nine years of age, to the position of superintendent.

Mr. Woolley joined the London Metropolitan Fire Brigade under Captain Shaw, and from June, 1885, till the date of his present appointment he served under the South Australian Fire Brigade Board.
