His Honor Mr. Justice Buckley (see pages 43 and 468) died on the 18th of May, 1896.

His Honor Mr. Justice Edwards, who is referred to on pages 471 and 474, was appointed to succeed the late Sir P. A. Buckley as a puisne judge of the Supreme Court of the Colony on the 11th of July, 1896.
